The LearningNet Web Site

Work

The web site went through many iterations with the team and with feedback from our beta customers. We really liked the yellow legal pad idea, which came from Shawn at SoftCom. The flow was designed to support navigating through categories (and eventually sub-categories of video courses. Navigation on the left with "results" on the right.

Once you found a course of interest you could then drill down and get more information about the course. This information appeared on the right side as well. This allowed you to continue to navigate without going "Back" to anywhere.

At the time, we supported multiple bitrates, from different video server vendors. If the user did not want to choose the default course, they could also use the options listed on the info page to choose a specific course to watch.
