GeoCities is moving towards the TopicGrid approach to user and 3rd party content organization, but the issue that I continue to struggle with, is how to manage the user's need to navigate within the tree of topics effectively without overwhelming the user with too many devices or options. This is especially true at a level several topics away from the top. One specific question is: is it reasonable to ask the user to return to the front to choose another topic from the grid, or is it really necessary to provide those options at all levels? How effective is a pull down menu navigation option in this case?
